Practice Resource Centre Services
Print Resources
​our nearly 2500 texts can be borrowed for up to 3 weeks by members of the Association. The books are currently signed out using an honour system sign out book. There are a number of high-use resources that are for use only in the courthouse, as our our O'Brien's binders.

Inter-Library Loan
As a part of the Ontario Courthouse Libraries under LiRN, the library staff is able to borrow texts from other Ontario Courthouse Libraries on your behalf at no charge. In most cases you can obtain the material within 2 business days.

Staff

Michelle Gerrits has managed our Library/Practice Resource Centre since 2004. She can assist in locating resources, in addition to assisting with use of any equipment or resolving issues in the Lambton Law Association space.

We can work with you individually or setting up a group session or finding an online session.

Reference & Research
​Library staff are available 20 hours each week to assist lawyers with locating resources as needed, such as case law, note-ups, legislation, quantums, texts. reporters or articles. Depending on the complexity of the question, the staff can assist in research or provide a research strategy with some starting points.

Lambton Library Catalogue
Lambton has catalogued its holdings for you to view. Materials will be able to be signed out using barcodes on your membership card and on the books. LIBIB is our platform!

Equipment
The library has three computer terminals connected to the internet and a copy/fax/printer/scanner. Member lawyers may perform these functions for $0.10 per page using a copy code obtained from staff, with the exception of printing from computers, which requires completing a form either in print or electronically.

Wireless internet is available in the Practice Resource Centre and Lounge area. The password is posted over the copy machine at the main entrance.
